You may be thinking that appetizers are a little over the top for being a home chef, but in reality they are a glimpse into the chefs approach and can buy you some time. Having a cheeseboard out for when your guests arrive also creates a more relaxed atmosphere in your home. Not everyone arrives at once or on time (I’m always late), so having something prepared before dinner allows everyone to get settled and have something to munch on. Remember, an appetizer should be flavourful, quick and easy.
